Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor- Carrying the Famous Kapoor Khandan in Bollywood

This is one of those rare times in the bollywood film industry when two youngsters from the same family are among the top rated stars in the industry. We are talking about Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, the two icons of the famous Kapoor khandaan.

The trend was started by Karisma Kapoor, who became the first Kapoor woman to act. Of course, recenty, Neetu Kapoor too is making a comeback of some sorts to movies as she has made a minor appearance in 'Love Aaj Kal'. There is said to be another film in the making which will also cast Neetu opposite her husband. Karisma Kapoor was the first to start the trend and she was followed by younger sister Kareena, who made her debut with J. P. Dutta's 'Refugee'. And now after so many years, their male cousin Ranbir Kapoor has made his debut in films as well. Going by the craze generated by his recent movie 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani', the actor has definitely slayed the opposition and emerged as the frontrunner among the younger group of actors. There is more yet to come from this young Kapoor lad, who has Shimit Amin's 'Rocket Singh Salesman of the Year', Prakash Jha's 'Rajneeti'. Karisma Kapoor may have retired and settled into domesticity, but her sister is making great strides in her career. Kareena is now enjoying the best period in her life. She is settled in a very happy relationship of late and is working in films like 'Kurbaan' opposite Saif Ali Khan and '3 Idiots' opposite Aamir Khan. She has been working with the best in the industry and continues to get the best of films under big banners and reputed directors. For a family that has been in in bollywood film industry for four generations, these two have certainly done their grandfather, Raj Kapoor and great grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor proud. Who knows, they may actually revive the R. K. banner as well. We are eagerlt waiting!
