Gadiara, the meeting place of Damodar, Rupnarayan and Hoogli rivers, is an exotic tourist paradise in West Bengal. Gadiara is a picturesque place where river is so wide, it looks like a mini sea.

1. Gadiara is located within 100 km. distance from Kolkata by road. You have to go by NH-6 upto Bagnan , take a left turn,travel for10 km and you will reach your destiny. Alternatively, go to Bagnan by train. CSTC/CTC buses are available from Esplanade to Gadiara.
2. Except from october to februery(Peak Season), Gadiara is less crowded by tourists.
3. Hotels and lodges are quite a few. TouristResort by WBTDC, which is situated on the bank of the river, is the most attractive place for staying. Some private lodges are also avilable. In peak season, it is better to book hotels in advance.
4. On the opposite side, there is Geaokhali.You can go there by motorboat. In Geaokhali, there is a tourist resort of Haldia Developmemt Authority.
5. Fresh fishes from the river is a delight to your tongue .
6. There is arrangement for boating in the river. But be careful, the river is just too big. It will be a ride to remember though.
